Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.2% Feb 9–Mon, 1.4% from Jan 1
MOSCOW, Feb 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation remained at 0.2% between February 9 and Monday and reached 1.4% from January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement Wednesday.
In the reported week, tea prices rose 0.6%, while prices for frozen fish, sour cream, sunflower oil, and sugar increased 0.3–0.4%.
Egg prices went down 0.5%, pork prices decreased 0.4%, and prices for poultry, sausages, rice and millet fell 0.1%.
Fruit and vegetable prices rose 0.9% on average in the period. Prices for cucumbers increased 1.6% and apple prices rose 1.2%, while prices for potatoes fell 0.4% and onion prices decreased 0.2%.
Gasoline prices remained flat and diesel fuel prices fell 0.1%.
